The Veteran Arts Department is a San Diego county-wide collaboration / wellness cluster formed of 501c3 nonprofit arts organizations who offer regular veteran arts programming. We created this web hub to showcase all of our organizations’ arts programming available for free to Veterans, active duty service members, and military family members. Each organization operates independently, so we encourage you to read more through each participant’s page, and follow links back to their homepage to learn more.

The Veteran Art Department is part of Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs and the state and local arts agencies. The initiative seeks to improve the health, wellness, and quality of life for military and veteran populations exposed to trauma, as well as their families and caregivers. Administrative support for the initiative is provided by Americans for the Arts.
